Working with EasyBlog Component

  • Ensure that you are logged into your account (at the backend of your website)
  • Point your mouse to 'Components' and then select EasyBlog
  • From the menu that opens up on the left, select 'Posts' - this will display all posts in the blog component
  • Click New (top left of the page - this will open a content modal page
  • Ensure to enter a title for the blog
  • Ensure to select the correct category/ categories for the blog entry (active categories are listed in the right side column)
  • Enter your content into the text editor area
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are pasting your content from another website or from MS Word, you are advised to paste it into notepad first.  MS Word uses html (web page) technology to render text, so pasting directly from these sources could affect the layout and formatting of your page content. Pasting your content into Notepad removes the formatting from MS Word, helping to ensure that your page content is consistent throughout your website.
  • Use the content editor icons to format your content (e.g. bold, change colour etc) or to add images to the content, just as you would in Microsoft Word.
  • See the note on inserting images (for further help on adding images to the content)
  • After you have put everything in place publish the post using the 'Publish Post' button at the bottom of the page.
  • NOTE - DO NOT USE THE 'BACK' BUTTON ON YOUR BROWSER: You must use the save or the close buttons at the bottom of the content page or you could end up with formatting issues, which could affect future editing or management of your content.
